Restaurant ordering for Manchester kitchens that want the regulars direct.

Manchester’s food streets are dense in different ways. The Curry Mile in Rusholme is a run of competing menus. The Northern Quarter is collection and late covers. Further out, Salford, Didsbury and Stockport are delivery decisions, not slogans. Chefzi is the direct lane beside whatever marketplaces you already use.

Areas kitchens in Manchester usually split

  • Rusholme and the Curry Mile
  • Northern Quarter
  • Salford
  • Didsbury
  • Stockport

The Curry Mile is a browsing problem

A customer comparing restaurants on Wilmslow Road does not need a slower page than the app they just closed. Large Indian menus, set meals, spice levels and breads have to load on a phone and land on the ticket as choices. Sticky categories and a straightforward basket are the whole job. Chefzi is the page for one kitchen, with that kitchen’s prices.

The pass has to hear it

The Android app rings until someone accepts with a prep time or rejects with a reason. That is the requirement on a Friday when the extractor is loud, whether the shop is on the Curry Mile or in a suburb. If the tablet goes offline, the dashboard shows a warning and Chefzi texts and emails the restaurant. A phone call follows when the messaging account is connected. The app can talk to a Bluetooth printer the restaurant chooses. Card numbers are not stored on the tablet. The ticket is the order.

City-centre collection and longer southern runs

People collecting in the Northern Quarter need a short, honest prep time. A kitchen that also delivers towards Didsbury or Stockport should not use that same promise for the drive. Split the zones. The close streets can carry a small fee. The longer Greater Manchester runs can carry a higher fee or a higher minimum, so a small order does not send a driver across the city. If you only do collection, hide delivery. The kitchen app is the same either way.

What the monthly fee is, and what it is not

Three months free, then £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe per location, excluding VAT. No setup fee. No commission on the order. No contract term beyond the month. That is the Chefzi price in Manchester and everywhere else in the UK we serve. It is not a discount off Just Eat, and it does not include their commission. Just Eat’s UK partner sign-up page is reported to show 14% when you deliver and 30% when they do, plus VAT on the fee. A direct fetch of that page was blocked on 19 October 2026. Use the calculator with your own order count. The result is a projection from those reported rates, not a Manchester case study.

Curry Mile menus

Set meals and spice choices on a page that is yours, not a marketplace tile.

Short prep times for people on foot.

Questions from Manchester kitchens.

Does the kitchen app work in a loud pass?

It keeps ringing until the order is accepted or rejected. Turn the tablet volume up and leave it plugged in for the shift.

Can I use my own drivers around Manchester?

Yes. You set the zones, the fee and the minimum. Chefzi does not supply couriers.

Do I have to leave the Curry Mile marketplaces?

No. Direct orders are the commission-free lane. Marketplace orders still pay the marketplace.
