Chefzi runs commission-free online ordering for independent restaurants. This page covers the marketing site, demo requests, the restaurant dashboard, ordering pages, generated websites, and the Chefzi Orders tablet app.

Demo and contact forms

If you book a call or send a message, we store your name, restaurant, email, phone, city, current ordering system, and whatever you write. We use that only to reply about Chefzi. We do not sell it. The form is sent to our order API and kept until we have dealt with the enquiry, or you ask us to delete it.

Restaurant accounts

A restaurant account stores the business name, address, phone, email, and a password hash. We also store the menu, opening hours, delivery zones, promotions, website content, and photos the restaurant uploads.

Orders and bookings

An order or reservation stores the diner’s name, phone, email if they give one, the delivery address when they ask for delivery, the dishes, and how they paid. Card numbers stay with the payment provider. We keep the payment status and, when a charge exists, the provider’s reference.

The tablet

The Chefzi Orders app stores the device name, model, system version, app version, battery, whether notifications are on, and the time of the last heartbeat. A push token is stored only if Firebase is connected. Bluetooth is used only to find a printer the restaurant chooses.

Why

We use this to take orders, ring the kitchen, print tickets, and show the restaurant its own sales. We do not sell the data.

How long

Restaurant data stays while the account exists. Deleting the account removes the restaurant, its menu, orders, reservations, and tablets from the live service. Write to us if you want a copy before you delete it.

Delete an account

The restaurant owner can delete the account from the tablet’s Settings screen, or at the account deletion page on the Chefzi service. Deletion asks for the owner email, the password, and the restaurant name typed exactly.
