Terms of service

These terms cover the Chefzi ordering service, restaurant websites, and the Chefzi Orders app. By creating an account or booking a demo you agree to them. The registered company name and number will be added to this page when they are available.

The service

Chefzi provides commission-free online ordering, a restaurant website, and a kitchen app. We do not take a percentage of your orders. Card processing fees from your payment provider are separate and are charged by them, not by Chefzi.

Price

The first 3 months are free. After that the fee is £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe, per location, billed month to month. Standard Stripe card processing fees apply. There is no setup fee and no minimum term. You can cancel before the free period ends and pay nothing. Prices exclude VAT where VAT applies.

Your content

You keep ownership of your menu, photos, and customer records. You give us permission to host and display them so the service can run. You are responsible for allergen information and for the prices you publish.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Chefzi to break the law, to send spam, or to take payment for food you don’t intend to prepare. We can suspend an account that puts diners or other restaurants at risk, and we’ll tell you why unless the law stops us.

Availability

We aim to keep ordering and the tablet app available through a Friday rush. We don’t promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be rare and, where we can, outside peak hours.

Liability

We are not liable for lost profit from orders you didn’t receive because a tablet was offline, a network failed, or a third-party payment provider declined a card. Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Ending the account

You can stop at any time. Deleting the restaurant account removes it from the live service, as described in the privacy policy. We can end an account that remains unpaid after a reminder, or that breaks these terms.

Refunds

The Chefzi monthly fee is billed month to month after the free months. Cancel before the free period ends and you pay nothing. If you have paid a monthly fee and you cancel, you are not charged again for the next month. We do not take a cut of diner orders, so a refund of a diner’s card payment is handled by the restaurant and its payment provider, not by a Chefzi commission clawback. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
