Chefzi vs Storekit: UK prices and features compared

Storekit publishes Starter at £0, Grow at £99 and Pro at £199 per location excluding VAT, plus a flat per-order rate that is not on the pricing page. Chefzi is £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe, excluding VAT, after three months free, with no per-order fee. Standard Stripe card processing fees apply.

Both Chefzi and Storekit give UK restaurants their own commission-free ordering channel. They charge differently: Storekit uses a flat per-order rate on top of a plan (from £0), while Chefzi uses a flat monthly fee with no per-order charge. Storekit offers more modules, and Chefzi is narrower and simpler.

Disclosure: Chefzi made this comparison. Storekit figures are taken from storekit.com/pricing on 19 October 2026 and may have changed. Check before you decide.

Pricing models compared

Because Storekit's per-order rate isn't on its pricing page, we can't put an exact figure on it. Here's how to compare:

  • Storekit Starter monthly cost = orders per month × Storekit's per-order rate + card fees
  • Chefzi monthly cost = £19 for cash or no-card payments, or £29 with online card payments through Stripe, plus card fees. Standard Stripe card processing fees apply on the card plan

Set them equal to find your break-even: £19 or £29 ÷ Storekit's per-order rate = orders per month, depending on the Chefzi plan. Above that number, Chefzi's flat fee costs less. Below it, Storekit Starter costs less. Ask Storekit for the rate. This page does not use an example rate.

On Grow (£99) and Pro (£199) the comparison is different, because you're paying for loyalty, catering, till connection and in-venue features that Chefzi doesn't offer.

Where Chefzi fits better

  • You want one fixed cost that doesn't move with volume.
  • You use your own drivers and want zone-by-zone fees and minimums.
  • Missed orders are your worry. The ringing app plus SMS and phone-call alerts are built for a busy pass.
  • You want QR table ordering included without moving up a plan.
  • You're replacing GloriaFood like for like before 30 April 2027.

Where Storekit fits better

  • You want Uber Direct couriers rather than your own drivers.
  • Your volume is low, so a free plan plus a small per-order rate is cheaper.
  • You need loyalty, email marketing, catering, kiosks or a native app, now or soon.
  • You run several locations and want them on one dashboard with team access.

Methodology

We compared Storekit's public pricing page with Chefzi's public pricing and feature pages on 19 October 2026. We only list features each provider states publicly. Where a figure isn't published (Storekit's per-order rate and card rates), we say so rather than estimate it. If Storekit's details change, we'll update this page. Questions to ask before choosing either

Whichever way you lean, a few questions will save you surprises later.

Ask Storekit:

  • What is the flat per-order rate on Starter, Grow and Pro, and does it differ for delivery, collection and table orders?
  • What are the card processing rates on my plan, and who is the processor?
  • If I use Uber Direct, who pays the delivery cost, me or the customer, and how is it set?
  • Is the kitchen display tablet included, or do I supply my own?

Ask Chefzi:

  • How long does the menu move take for my menu? (Send us the link and we'll tell you.)
  • Which payment provider will my card payments go through, and what will it charge me?
  • What happens to orders if my kitchen tablet loses Wi-Fi? (The app rings until answered, and if the tablet goes offline you get an SMS and then a phone call.)
  • Can I keep my existing website? (Yes. Use the embed or a hosted link.)

Switching between them

Both are month to month on their main plans, so you can test without a long commitment. A safe switch looks like this:

  1. Set up the new system with your full menu, hours and delivery zones.
  2. Place real test orders for collection and delivery, and check they reach the kitchen.
  3. Run both side by side for a few days.
  4. Swap the ordering link on your Google Business Profile, website, Instagram and printed materials.
  5. Cancel the old plan once orders are flowing through the new one.

Questions

Which is cheaper, Chefzi or Storekit?

Storekit Starter has no monthly fee but adds a flat per-order rate that isn't published on its pricing page. Chefzi is £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe per location excluding VAT after three free months, with no per-order fee. At low order volumes Storekit may cost less, and at higher volumes the flat fee usually does.

Do both charge 0% commission?

Yes. Neither takes a percentage of the basket. Storekit charges a flat per-order rate. Chefzi charges a flat monthly fee.

Does Chefzi integrate with Uber Direct?

No. Chefzi delivery is by your own drivers, using zones with their own fees, minimums and times. Storekit includes Uber Direct on its Starter plan.

Are there contracts?

Storekit's Starter, Grow and Pro plans are rolling monthly, and Enterprise is on an agreed term. Chefzi is month to month, and you pay nothing if you cancel within the three free months.

Which has a kitchen display?

Storekit offers a kitchen display, free on every plan. Chefzi uses an Android kitchen app that rings until someone accepts with a prep time or rejects with a reason, and sends an SMS and then a phone call if the tablet goes offline.
