Google ranking

Help getting your restaurant found on Google in your area

In short: When people search "takeaway near me" or "Indian restaurant in [your town]", Google shows a map with three restaurants. We help you give Google what it needs to consider you: a complete Google Business Profile, accurate details everywhere, a steady flow of genuine reviews and a fast, SEO-ready ordering website. We can't promise a position, but we fix what holds most independents back.

Early Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deal: new sign-ups get 3 months free, with no setup fee. The deal ends at 23:59 on 1 December 2026.

What Google looks at locally

Google says local results are based on relevance (does your profile match the search?), distance and prominence (how well known you are, including reviews and links). You can't move your shop, but you can improve relevance and prominence.

What we do

  • Profile clean-up: the right primary category (for example "Indian takeaway" rather than just "Restaurant"), service options, hours including holidays, and a description written for customers.
  • Order and booking buttons: we add an Order online link to your Google profile that goes to your own Chefzi site, plus a link to table reservations.
  • Photos and posts: real dish photos and regular updates, so the profile looks active.
  • Name, address and phone everywhere: consistent details across your website and the main UK directories.
  • Reviews, the honest way: a simple QR card asking happy customers for a review, and help writing replies.
  • The website side: your Chefzi site is built for mobile speed with menu and restaurant schema, on your own domain. Read our restaurant website SEO guide.

What we won't do

No fake reviews, no keyword-stuffed business names and no fake addresses. These break Google's guidelines and can get a profile suspended.

What you can check yourself first

Before you ask us to do the work, open your listing on a phone and read it as a customer would.

The name should be the name on the shopfront, not a list of dishes stuffed into the title. The address and phone should match the website. The hours should include the day you are actually closed, and a holiday if you are about to shut. The primary category should be the kind of food you sell. “Restaurant” on its own hides a takeaway that people search for by cuisine.

Photos should be of your food and your room. A stock photo of a dish you do not sell makes the listing look like someone else’s. Posts help the profile look looked-after. They do not buy a map position.

The order link should open your own site, not a marketplace, if direct orders are the point. How that link sits with the rest of your marketing is in restaurant marketing ideas. The same is true of a booking link if you take table reservations. We can add those links. We cannot make Google show you first. Distance still matters, and so do the restaurants next door.

Ask us what we would change on your listing before you pay. The ordering plans stay separate from this work.

Questions

Can you guarantee my restaurant will be number one on Google?

No, and nobody honestly can. Google decides rankings based on relevance, distance and prominence. We work on the things you can control: a complete profile, accurate details, reviews handled well and a fast website.

What is a Google Business Profile?

It's the free listing that shows your restaurant on Google Maps and in local search, with your hours, photos, reviews and links to order or book.

Do you write fake reviews?

Never. Fake reviews break Google's rules and UK consumer law. We help you ask real customers for reviews and reply to them well.

How much does it cost?

Ask us. Pricing depends on how much work your profile and website need.
