Social and ads
Updated 20 October 2026
Social media and ads that send hungry customers to your own site
In short: We design social media posts and run Facebook, Instagram and Google ads for UK restaurants and takeaways. Every post and ad links to your own Chefzi ordering page, where there's 0% commission, so you can see exactly which campaigns bring orders.
Early Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deal: new sign-ups get 3 months free, with no setup fee. The deal ends at 23:59 on 1 December 2026.
The problem with "boosting a post"
Many takeaways boost a post, get likes from people 50 miles away, and see no orders. Ads work when they're shown to people within your delivery area, at mealtimes, with a clear offer and a link that goes straight to ordering.
What we do
- Social posts: designed for your brand, using photos of your actual food.
- Facebook and Instagram ads: targeted to your delivery postcodes, scheduled around lunch and dinner.
- Google ads: shown to people searching for your cuisine near you, alongside our Google ranking help.
- Tracking: each campaign uses its own link or promo code, so orders can be counted.
Ads vs apps: the maths
A marketplace takes a percentage of every order, from the same customer, for ever. An ad costs money once to win a customer who can then order direct again and again, reached later by SMS or email at almost no cost. Use the commission calculator to see what commission costs you now.
What a useful month looks like
Agree the area first. Ads for a takeaway should be people who can actually collect or who sit inside your delivery zones, around lunch and dinner, not a boost that collects likes from another city. The offer in the ad should be one you can cook, and the button should open your own ordering page.
Social posts use photos of your food. Tell us which dishes you want shown and which you are about to take off. A post for a dish you cannot make on Friday is a wasted click.
Each campaign can carry its own link or promo code, so you can see orders that started there. That count is a report of what happened. It is not a forecast, and it is not a guarantee of the next month. You pay Meta or Google for the ad spend, in your own account, so the spend is visible. Our fee for designing posts or managing the ads is separate. You can take the posts without the ads.
If you also want the Google listing cleaned up, that is Google ranking help, priced on its own. The rest of the plan is in restaurant marketing ideas. Ask us before you commit to either.
Start with posts if you are unsure about ad spend. You can add Facebook, Instagram or Google ads in a later month, still linking to your own site, still without a promised number of orders.

Ask us. Ad spend is paid directly to Meta or Google and is shown separately from our fee.
Questions
Do you guarantee a number of orders from ads?
No. Results depend on your food, prices, area and budget. We report what each campaign spent and how many orders it brought to your own site, so you can decide whether to continue.
Who pays for the ad spend?
You pay Meta or Google directly for ad spend, so you can always see it. Our management fee is separate.
Can you just design posts without running ads?
Yes. We can design a set of social media posts each month for you to publish.
How much does it cost?
Ask us. It depends on how many posts you need and which ad platforms you use.
