A British Bangladeshi curry house has a menu people already know by number. The starters, the tandoori, the house specials, the balti and the dhansak sit in an order regulars can recite. Chefzi keeps that order. Put the printed number in the dish name, such as “42. Chicken tikka masala”, because there is no separate number field. Search matches the name, so the number is how someone with the paper menu in a kitchen drawer finds the dish.
Heat, where you offer it, is a modifier group. Mark it required if the pass will not cook without an answer, and allow one choice or several. If a dish has a fixed heat, leave the group off rather than inventing a mild version you do not cook. Rice, naan, chapati and a papadom are priced lines. Put them in their own categories, and also as add-ons on a curry if that is how the counter sells them. A set meal is one item, with the included dishes named. There is no separate meal builder.
When a special finishes, mark that dish sold out. Sold out does not delete it, and there is no switch to hide a whole category for the night. Collection and delivery hours are separate, which matters when the driver has gone and the restaurant is still doing collection. A holiday is one special day for both services: closed, or one opening window. Weekly hours can still differ by service. Closing time is the cut-off. There is no extra cut-off before that.
Customers can request a collection or delivery time. You set a lead time for each service and how many days ahead an order can be booked, up to fourteen. There is no slot grid and no cap on how many orders share a time. Pause ordering, or reject with a reason, when the kitchen is behind. The app rings until someone accepts with a prep time or rejects the ticket.
Delivery zones follow the streets you already drive, by a drawn area, a radius or postcodes. Each zone has a fee, a minimum and a time, shown before payment. There is no switch to pause one zone. Take it off the list you save, or turn delivery off and leave collection on. Chefzi does not supply a driver.
The first three months are free, then £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe per location, excluding VAT, with no commission on a direct order and no setup fee. Card processing stays with your payment provider. Allergen notes are yours to write. Keep a marketplace if it still brings new customers, and keep prices, discounts, delivery charges and minimums no more favourable on your own page than on Just Eat, unless you have agreed otherwise. Put one link on Google, the window and your own packaging. Do not put a code on a Just Eat bag. If the current button is GloriaFood, that product retires on 30 April 2027, and the menu move is included.
The pass on a Friday already knows which house specials sell and which breads run out. Keep those names. Do not split one curry into three screens or rename it to fit a template. A balti, a madras and a dhansak are separate items if that is how the board lists them, each with the price you will honour tonight. Rice can be an add-on on the curry and also a line in the rice category, so a customer who only wants a pilau can still find it. The tablet sits where the kitchen can hear it, on charge, Android 8 or newer. If it drops offline the dashboard warns you. Ordering stays open until you pause it. Send the printed menu, the heats you actually offer, and the streets you drive. Test one numbered dish with a required heat, one address inside a zone, one outside it, and one dish marked sold out before you change the website button.
The monthly fee is also on pricing. Zones are on delivery zones. Published marketplace rates go in the commission calculator, which is a projection from those rates and the numbers you type.
