Sizes
A six-inch and an eight-inch are variants with their own prices.
Flavours
A modifier group, required if the customer has to choose.
Notice
The lead time is for the location, not for one cake.
Sold out
Mark a finished cake sold out so the next person cannot pay for it.
A dessert shop or a cake counter loses the sale when someone pays for a slice that has already gone, or turns up for a cake that needed to be ordered yesterday. Chefzi is the page for that order and the app that rings when it lands. Collection is the main job. Delivery is only for the streets you already cover.
Each cake, slice, sundae or box is an item with a price. A size you sell, such as a six-inch and an eight-inch, is a variant with its own price. A flavour you let the customer pick is a modifier group. Mark it required when they have to choose, and allow more than one only when you will actually make that combination. A message on a cake is not a field in the product. If you take messages, say how on the item and keep doing it the way you do now. Do not expect the ticket to have an engraving box.
When a cake leaves the case, mark it sold out. The next person cannot pay for it. There is no switch to hide a whole category, so mark the finished cakes and leave the rest of the counter up. The lead time is how much notice a collection or a delivery needs, for the location. A next-day cake and a slice from the case share that notice unless you say, on the item, that the cake needs longer and you take it another way. You also set how many days ahead a time can be requested. There is no slot grid and no cap per time.
Hours belong on the page, including the days you are shut. A holiday is a special day: closed, or open for different hours. Collection hours and delivery hours can differ. Most dessert shops should start as collection only. If you deliver, draw the area, set the fee and the minimum, and show both before payment. Switch delivery off without closing collection. Remove a zone to stop one area.
The photograph on this page is cake on a counter. It is not your counter. Put your own photos on the items when you have them. Allergen notes for nuts, gluten and dairy are yours to write.
The first three months are free, then £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe per location, excluding VAT, with no commission and no setup fee. Card processing stays with your payment provider. The tablet rings until the order is accepted with a prep time or rejected with a reason. If GloriaFood is the current button, it retires on 30 April 2027. Send the case, the sizes and the pre-order rule. Test one required choice, one sold-out item, and one requested time inside the notice you set.
A bakery that also sells slices from the case and whole cakes for the weekend can use one page. Sizes are variants. Flavours are a modifier group, required when the customer has to choose, and limited to one flavour unless you will actually combine them. There is no message box on a cake. If you ice a name, say so on the item and keep your current process. Collection is the usual start. Delivery, if you do it, is a zone with a fee and a minimum shown before payment. Most counters should leave delivery off. Hours, including the days the case is empty, belong on the page. A holiday is a closed date or one different window, covering collection and delivery together. The tablet rings until the order is accepted with a prep time or rejected with a reason. Three months are free, then £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe per location, excluding VAT, with no commission and no setup fee. Card processing stays with your payment provider.
The monthly fee is also on pricing. Zones are on delivery zones. Published marketplace rates go in the commission calculator, which is a projection from those rates and the numbers you type.

Questions from dessert shops.
Can customers order a collection time?
Yes. You set the lead time, how far ahead they can book, and the hours. The lead time applies to the location, not to one cake.
Is there a message field on a cake?
No. Sizes are variants and flavours are modifiers. If you take a written message, say so on the item and keep your current process.
What if a cake sells out?
Mark it sold out. Checkout stops selling it. There is no switch to hide the rest of the category.
What does a dessert shop pay?
Three months free, then £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe per location, excluding VAT. No commission on the order and no setup fee.
