Alternatives
Slerp alternative for UK independents
No setup fee. No commission. From £19 a month.
Slerp is a UK direct-ordering platform that's popular with multi-site groups, bakeries and quick-service brands. Its own site lists loyalty, CRM, catering, click-and-collect, order-at-table and delivery integrations with services such as Uber Direct and Deliveroo. It's a strong product for brands that want a premium, branded experience.
If you're a single independent takeaway, the question is simpler: do you need all of that, and does the price make sense at your volume? This page sets out what Slerp publishes, what to compare and four alternatives.
Disclosure: Chefzi made this page and is one of the options listed. Competitor facts are from their own public pages, checked 19 October 2026.
What Slerp publishes about its pricing
Slerp's AI facts page, which it publishes for search engines and AI assistants, says:
| Item | Slerp's published figure |
|---|---|
| Monthly fee per location | £125 to £250, depending on whether a branded native app is included |
| Fee on orders | A platform fee that varies by plan and order type. Slerp says it's not a marketplace-style commission. |
| Card processing | Charged separately |
| Onboarding | £500 one-off, waived if live within 30 days |
| Contract | Typically 12 or 24 months, with rolling terms available |
| CRM | An optional add-on priced on customer records |
| Multi-site | Agreed directly |

Why owners look for a Slerp alternative
- Budget. £125 or more per site per month is a large share of a small takeaway's margin.
- Term length. Some owners don't want a 12 or 24-month commitment.
- Features they won't use. Loyalty, CRM and native apps matter more to brands with repeat app users than to a corner takeaway.
What to compare
- Monthly fee plus any per-order fee, at your real order count
- Contract length and notice
- Whether you need courier integrations or have your own drivers
- Whether loyalty and a branded app actually bring in orders for you
- Who moves the menu, and how long it takes
Four Slerp alternatives
1. Chefzi: the essentials at a flat monthly fee
Chefzi is £0 for three months, then £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe per location excluding VAT, with 0% commission, no setup fee and no contract. Included:
- An ordering site for collection, delivery and scheduled orders, and a website generated from your menu
- An Android kitchen app that rings until someone accepts or rejects, with SMS and phone-call alerts if the tablet goes offline
- Delivery zones for your own drivers, QR table ordering, card payments, receipts, daily totals and promo codes
- The menu move
Not included: loyalty, CRM, a branded native app or courier integrations.
Best for: independents who want direct ordering at a flat monthly fee.
2. Storekit
Storekit publishes Starter (free per month), Grow (£99), Pro (£199) and Enterprise (from £995 per brand). Prices are per location, ex. VAT, plus a flat per-order rate that isn't stated on the page. Starter, Grow and Pro are rolling monthly. Loyalty and email marketing come on Grow and above.
Best for: growing QSRs that want a free start and courier integration.
3. Flipdish
Flipdish's UK pricing page shows a website and ordering package from £49 a month billed annually (£69 monthly), with POS, kiosks and apps on bigger packages. As shown on flipdish.com on 19 October 2026. The point-of-sale page also shows an essential package from £119 a month billed annually, or £139 a month if billed monthly (ex. VAT).
Best for: operators who want one supplier for POS and online.
4. Square Online
Square lists a free plan, paid plans and UK card processing at 1.4% + 25p per online transaction.
Best for: venues already on Square.
When Slerp is still the better fit
Slerp is likely the better choice if:
- you run several sites or a brand and want a premium, consistent ordering experience
- loyalty, CRM and a branded native app are part of your growth plan
- you want Uber Direct or Deliveroo delivery integrations built in
- you're happy with a 12 or 24-month term in exchange for the app build
Chefzi doesn't currently offer loyalty, a native app or courier integrations.
Switching steps
- Check your Slerp term end date and notice period.
- Send Chefzi your menu export or link, and we'll move it.
- Set up zones, hours and payments, and place test orders.
- Run both until you're confident, then swap links on your site, Google and socials.
- Keep your own customer list compliant: only email people who've agreed to hear from you.

Costing it over a year
A simple year-one comparison, using published figures only (platform fees and card processing excluded, because Slerp sets its platform fee per plan):
- Slerp, web tier, onboarding not waived: £125 × 12 + £500 = £2,000
- Slerp, web tier, live within 30 days: £125 × 12 = £1,500
- Storekit Starter: £0 subscription plus the per-order rate on every order
- Chefzi: £0 for three months, then £19 × 9 = £171 ex. VAT for cash or no-card payments, or £29 × 9 = £261 ex. VAT with online card payments through Stripe. Standard Stripe card processing fees apply
These aren't like for like. Slerp includes loyalty, CRM options, delivery integrations and an app tier that Chefzi doesn't offer. The point is to see what you're paying for, then decide whether you'll use it.
