An Epos Now alternative for UK restaurants and takeaways
By Arslan Munir

Epos Now sells EPOS systems with hardware bundles, card payments and support. Chefzi POS is a browser till that comes with your online ordering. They suit different restaurants, so here's a plain comparison using Epos Now's own published information.
What Epos Now publishes about pricing
When we checked Epos Now's UK pricing page on 26 October 2026:
- It showed time-limited hardware bundle offers (for example, a Complete Solution bundle advertised "from £299"). These offers change, so check the page for current prices.
- It said the Complete Solution bundle requires a 12-month payments, care and support subscription starting at £54 per month.
What Chefzi POS costs
Chefzi is from £9 a month per location, or £19 a month with online card payments through Stripe (excluding VAT), with 0% commission, no setup fee and free migration. The POS is part of your Chefzi plan, with no separate POS subscription. There is no hardware to buy from us. It runs in the browser on devices you already own.

What you get with Chefzi POS
A touch till with sizes and options, collection, delivery and dine-in order types, staff PINs and manager PIN controls, split bills, tips, X and Z reports, stock counts, loyalty, gift cards and a kitchen display system. It prints from Chrome to Bluetooth or USB ESC/POS receipt printers (58mm or 80mm), and falls back to the normal print dialog. Run a test print on your own printer before service. Takeaways can read more on the takeaway EPOS system page.
When Epos Now may suit you better
If you want integrated card payments and hardware from one supplier, Epos Now offers bundles for that, and Chefzi POS doesn't connect to card terminals.
When Chefzi may suit you better
If you'd rather not buy hardware or sign a 12-month contract, and online orders matter to you, compare Chefzi POS and Chefzi pricing. See all alternatives.
