Alternatives
OrderYOYO alternative: flat fee or per-order commission?
No setup fee. No commission. From £19 a month.
OrderYOYO gives takeaways their own website and app, Google ordering, marketing support and printed materials, and it charges a percentage per order. That suits many shops, because the cost rises and falls with sales and marketing is bundled in. As volume grows, though, some owners would rather pay a fixed amount and run their own marketing.
Disclosure: Chefzi wrote this page and is one of the options. OrderYOYO facts come from its own product page, checked 19 October 2026. Your actual rate is in your agreement with OrderYOYO.
How OrderYOYO's model works (as published)
OrderYOYO's product page says:
- "With OrderYOYO you will receive weekly invoices, and you pay commission as low as 6% per order."
- "The more you grow the less you pay per order."
- The price includes hosting of the web and app, customer support, updates, ongoing online advertising, a start-up marketing pack and all card transaction fees.
- It offers a website and app for takeaways, Google ordering and a "My Business" app for owners.
We couldn't read OrderYOYO's UK site (orderyoyo.uk) because it blocked our automated check, so we haven't quoted any UK-specific tiers or customer fees. Check your own invoices.
A worked example (illustrative only)
Take 400 orders a month at a £22 average order:
- At 6% commission: 400 × £22 × 6% = £528 a month. That figure includes card fees, per OrderYOYO's page, and it's the lowest rate shown. Your rate may be higher.
- Chefzi: £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe after three free months, excluding VAT. Standard Stripe card processing fees apply on the card plan. This page does not assume a card rate.
So at this volume the flat fee costs less even after card fees, but you'd lose the bundled advertising. Run your own numbers in the commission calculator.
What to compare
- Your effective rate: total invoices ÷ order value over a normal month
- Whether customers pay a service fee on your current system
- Who owns the customer list and whether you can export it
- Whether the bundled advertising is actually bringing orders
- Contract and notice
Alternatives to OrderYOYO
1. Chefzi: a flat monthly fee, 0% commission
£0 for three months, then £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments through Stripe per location excluding VAT, with no commission, no setup fee and no contract. Chefzi adds no customer fee. You get an ordering site, a restaurant website generated from your menu, an Android kitchen app that rings until answered (with SMS and phone-call alerts if it goes offline), delivery zones for your own drivers, QR table ordering, receipts and promo codes. Chefzi moves the menu for you.
Not included: advertising management, a branded app or courier integrations.
2. Storekit
Starter has no monthly fee but adds a flat per-order rate (not stated on the pricing page). Grow is £99 and Pro £199 per location per month, ex. VAT, on rolling contracts. Uber Direct comes on Starter.
3. Flipdish

4. Square Online
A free plan, with UK card processing at 1.4% + 25p per online transaction.
When OrderYOYO is still the better fit
- You don't want to run any marketing yourself, and the bundled advertising brings you orders.
- You want a branded app in the app stores.
- Your volume is low enough that a percentage costs less than any fixed fee plus card charges.
- You like one invoice that includes card fees.
Switching steps
- Check your OrderYOYO agreement for notice terms.
- Send Chefzi your menu or ordering link.
- Set up zones, hours and payments, and place test orders.
- Update your website, Google Business Profile and printed menus. Popular formats such as kebab shops often reprint bag stickers with the new link.
- Only contact customers whose details you're entitled to use.

How to work out your effective rate
Before comparing any provider, work out what you really pay now. Take a normal month and add up:
- The total of OrderYOYO's weekly invoices for the month
- Any extra charges, such as advertising top-ups or printed materials
- Your total online order value for the same month
Then divide (1 + 2) by (3). That gives your effective rate. Since OrderYOYO's figure includes card fees, add an estimate of card processing to any alternative before you compare.
Ask yourself three more questions:
- Where do my online orders come from? If most come from people who already know you, through your shopfront, regulars or Google searches for your name, you may not need bundled advertising.
- Do customers pay a fee at checkout? Check your own ordering page as a customer. A fee at checkout can put people off ordering direct.
- Can I export my customer list? Your direct customers are your most valuable asset, so make sure you can take them with you.
What stays the same when you switch
Your menu, prices, opening hours and delivery areas carry across. Chefzi rebuilds the menu for you. Customers order on a mobile page under your restaurant's name, so nobody needs to download anything. Orders arrive on an Android tablet in the kitchen that rings until someone accepts with a prep time or rejects with a reason.

Is there a setup fee?

Is there commission?
No. Chefzi charges 0% commission on the order. Standard Stripe card processing fees apply.
What is the difference between the two monthly prices?
£19 a month is for restaurants taking cash orders, including cash on delivery and cash on collection, or taking no card payment online. £29 a month includes online card payments through Stripe. Standard Stripe card processing fees apply.
How does OrderYOYO charge?
OrderYOYO's product page says you receive weekly invoices and pay commission 'as low as 6% per order', and that the price includes hosting, support, updates, ongoing online advertising, a start-up marketing pack and card transaction fees (checked 19 October 2026). Your rate is in your own agreement.
Is a flat fee cheaper than a percentage?
It depends on volume. A percentage costs more as you sell more, while a flat fee doesn't change. Put your own order count and average order value into the commission calculator and compare.
Does Chefzi include advertising like OrderYOYO?
No. Chefzi doesn't run Google Ads for you. It includes promo codes, QR codes and a single ordering link for your website, Google profile and bags.
Does Chefzi have a branded app?
No. Customers order on a fast mobile ordering site, so there's nothing to download. If a branded app matters to you, OrderYOYO, Flipdish and Storekit offer one.
Do card fees still apply with Chefzi?
Yes. Card processing is charged by your payment provider, not by Chefzi, and Chefzi takes no cut of the order.
