Just Eat Partner Centre: a guide for restaurants

By Arslan Munir

Chefzi is not affiliated with Just Eat. Screens in the Partner Centre change; check the Partner Centre itself for current details.

Logging in

Search "Just Eat Partner Centre" and use the sign-in link on Just Eat's own site. Check the web address before entering your password. Use the email on your restaurant's account. If the account was set up by someone who has left, contact Just Eat restaurant support through the Partner Centre's help section. Don't share the owner login with staff.

The five screens that matter

  1. Orders. Check rejected and late orders. Too many rejections usually point to wrong hours or items that have run out.
  2. Invoices. Just Eat pays restaurants on a schedule. See when does Just Eat pay restaurants. Reconcile each invoice with your till: commission, any delivery-service charges if Just Eat couriers deliver for you, refunds, and offer costs.
  3. Menu. Keep allergen information accurate and up to date (allergen guide). Fix spelling mistakes and add photos where they help.
  4. Opening times. Holiday hours go in early. December gets busy, so see the Christmas opening hours checklist.
  5. Reviews. Reply calmly, and fix the cause behind any pattern you see.

Reading your Just Eat invoice

Look at three numbers: total order value, everything Just Eat deducted, and what was paid out. Divide the deductions by the order value to get your real cost per pound of sales. Use your own invoice with the commission calculator. The rates are explained in Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats commission in the UK.

Own delivery or Just Eat delivery?

If you deliver with your own drivers, you control the timing and the customer experience. If Just Eat delivers for you, expect a higher charge per order. Whichever you choose, set up delivery areas and fees for your own page separately (delivery zones and your own drivers).

Just Eat is useful for being found. Repeat customers are the ones worth moving to your own ordering page, where you pay 0% commission ever:

  • Put "Order direct" on your Google Business Profile, with your own link.
  • Use a flyer or QR code in the shop and, where Just Eat's rules allow it, in the bag.

Full method: move customers from Just Eat to your website. If you're thinking about leaving Just Eat altogether, see Just Eat alternative. Also on Deliveroo? Read our Deliveroo Partner Hub guide.

Where Chefzi fits

Chefzi gives you your own ordering page and an order app that rings until someone answers. It's £39 a month per location billed annually (£49 if billed monthly), with your own domain and your own branded app (Android & iOS) included. There's no setup fee and no commission, and prices are per location, ex VAT. Chefzi helps you move Just Eat customers onto your own site. It doesn't connect to Just Eat, and orders placed on Just Eat still pay Just Eat's commission. See how it works for an online takeaway ordering system.
